On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman is speaking to Zach from Rotting Christ live from Hellfest in France.

Zach begins by talking about how weird it is to be back at a festival with such a large crowd, despite having played a couple gigs since lockdown, but it feels to him like they’re getting their lives back.

Zach tells us he’s played 2000 shows from Patagonia to Siberia, and even says it wasn’t bad playing in Siberia, saying it was similar to Montana in the winter!

Talking about the recent events in Russia and around the rest of the world, Zach talks about some of the difficulties that come with playing these days, like paying three times as much for gas, when they’re not making much money anyway. He thanks all the fans who have supported by purchasing the merch. Pipeman also makes the point that people assume he’s living the dream but he reveals he got here by spending 13 hours in a van with 8 people, sleepless at 50 years old, all while it’s 41 degrees Celsius, or 105 Fahrenheit.

Coming up after Hellfest, Rotting Christ are doing some festivals over in the State, like Psycho Las Vegas, as well as a lot of European festivals too, so it will be a busy summer.
