Pentecost was more than just an "all the sudden" show of power-it had been planned long ago. Pentecost is God's love for us poured out with the kind of power we need to help us navigate a chaotic world. It's God's love on leaven (yeast).
Jesus warns us to beware of the yeast of the Pharisees who thought they knew better than Jesus with their man-made traditions. But the good news of Jesus (the first fruits of God) must be based on the truth of God's word. Therefore rely on the Spirit to guide you into all truth and spread this good news to the ends of the world.
