The paperwork has been signed that will formally bring indoor golf and other entertainment options to what was the city of Bryan's municipal golf course.

Jim Butler and his wife Alison are the developers of the Big Shots project at the new superpark.

Jim Butler told WTAW's Scott DeLucia says the project honors and continues the legacy of the former municipal golf course, where his parents and brother once played.

Groundbreaking is anticipated in April, and construction to take ten months weather permitting.

Butler says the facility will have 60 tee boxes for indoor golf, miniature golf, sports entertainment and facilities, event space, and a music venue.

The $13 million dollar complex is supposed to generate 10 to 12 full time employees and up to 120 part time employees.

After five years of operation, the city will receive six percent of the business's adjusted gross revenue. And the developer will pay property taxes on the building.

The city council earlier this week approved giving developers a $100,000 dollar grant and waive an estimated $50,000 dollars in permit fees.
