On March 7-8, 1986, The Federalist Society hosted its annual National Student Symposium at Stanford Law School. The topic of the conference was "The First Amendment: Constitutional Principles & Public Policy." The first day of the conference concluded with a panel on "The Political Process and the First Amendment."
