​It is here, folks! The final Spring Training games are finishing, teams are loading the trucks and shipping it back home, and Regular Season 2018 is about to be put in play on Thursday, March 29.

On this week's podcast, we are very excited to have retired Major League Baseball umpire and crew chief Dale Scott stop by and spend some time with us. He tells us about his long career, some defining moments in his life, and what it was like being on the field during the Jose Bautista/Rougned Odor brawl.

Plus, what is going on with all these comebackers? Felix Hernandez, Chris Sale, and Madison Bumgarner have all been hit by line drives while on the mound. Sale took a screamer to the hip while Bumgarner got the worst of it with a broken finger. Chris Sale says he will be ready for Opening Day, but Bumgarner, and his battery mate Jeff Smardzija, will be starting the season on the Disabled List. Finally, the Philadelphia Phillies just signed Scott Kingery to a 6-year, $24MM contract. That sounds normal enough until we tell you he has never played in a Major League game! Was this a smart move or a foolish move by a team who sat at the bottom of the NL East last season.
