Oklahoma won 71 games in a row across the 2023-24 seasons, including 53 straight wins to close out the 2023 season with a Women's College World Series title followed by 18 straight victories to start the 2024 regular season. The Sooners' record 48th straight win came in Game 2 of the 2023 super regionals — the Sooners trailed 7-4 in the seventh and were down to their last out and last strike when Kinzie Hansen sent an 0-2 pitch over the fence for a game-tying three-run bomb. OU then came back to take the lead in the top of the ninth and held off Clemson to advance to its seventh-straight trip to the WCWS. The record-breaking win, that beat Arizona's record set in 1997, was even more significant because it was the Sooners' last game played on Marita Hynes Field.
