Our 91st episode features a true crime collaboration between Mountain Murders and Dreadfully Curious Podcast. We examine cases out of our stompin' grounds --Western North Carolina. Both cases center around crimes in the 1970s.

In Part One, Mountain Murders discusses the brutal slaying of Jack Leo Clark, an elderly man who had a deadly encounter with lawless brothers in historic Frog Level, Waynesville, NC in 1975.

In Part Two, Dreadfully Curious covers the case of a murdered Sylva, NC school teacher named June Love Barker. A sordid tale of betrayal, deceit and murder that will leave you questioning if justice was truly served.

We're not covering your sisters case. That was Dreadfully Curious - an entirely different podcast all together. Mountain Murders had no control over the case chosen by the other podcaster. It was a collaboration episode.

As the sister of June Love Barker, I find it incredibly insensitive that you would make a podcast about her death. You have no idea what our family has gone through due to her murder, and now I find your podcast online. Do you not give any thought to the harm that you do to the the grieving families of murder victims? I'm the only member of our immediate family who still resides in Jackson County. The rest moved away, for good reason. You could cover stories about the murderers, instead of the victims, but that isn't what you did. You victimized my sister and my family all over again.
