My family lived in that townhouse complex a few doors down from dawns family, my sister April was dawns best friend. Dawns family was extremely poor and she was a very timid child, she was also very protective of her little sister. Jason was a sicko he actually helped everyone look for dawn. She was found in the creek that separated the schoolyard and our townhome complex. My entire life my mom enforced strict safety protocols always stating "remember what happened dawn shaw..." this story hits home for sure.
