SHR # 2698:: Merging Ancient Wisdom With Modern Insights plus How Poor Quality Carbohydrates Increases Heart Disease and Death - Dr. Asad Choudhry. MD - Dr. David Jenkins, Ph.D. - Understanding the body from a physics / electromagnetic perspective is what is missing from modern medical research and it's essentially why we spend so much money and get nowhere. This includes our relationship to technology ; understanding in detail the physical impacts of our changing world on human biology. Using nature to protect ourselves and push the limits of our minds and bodies. Merging ancient wisdom with modern insights. Prior to medical school Dr. Choudhry was trained in mathematics and physics as an undergraduate and that training and rigorous point of view stayed with him throughout his medical education. He began to notice that there were serious holes and problems with many of the scientific foundations of allopathic medicine and allopathy based research models. A year into clinical practice he realized that becoming a doctor is a pair of golden handcuffs if you are genuinely interested in healing patients. You pretty much are at the mercy of treatment algorithms that are handed down to you. PLUS A global study of people living on five continents has found a diet high in poor quality carbohydrates leads to a higher risk of heart attacks, strokes, and death. The higher risks of a diet high in poor quality carbohydrates, called a high glycemic diet, were similar whether people had previous cardiovascular disease or not. The study, published in the New England Journal of Medicine today, is the largest of a geographically and dietary diverse population on this issue, as previous studies have chiefly focused on high income Western countries.
