Hey there East Central Florida pals, get ready for a wild ride with the latest coastal waters forecast brought to you by the National Weather Service in Melbourne, Florida!

Today, we've got some strong high pressure off the Carolinas keeping those onshore winds moderate to fresh. Boating conditions? Well, let's just say they're a bit on the hazardous side. Isolated showers might also be paying us a visit early in the work-week, so keep those umbrellas handy. But fear not, my friends, because some improvements to marine conditions are on the horizon starting Monday and Tuesday. By mid-week, we'll be looking at much better conditions all around.

Now, for all you sea enthusiasts out there, here's the scoop on the Gulf Stream hazards: Easterly winds clocking in at 15 to 20 miles per hour and seas ranging from 6 to 8 feet throughout this morning.

If you're sailing closer to home, from Flagler Beach to Volusia-Brevard County Line, expect east winds at 10 to 15 miles per hour today. Seas will be dancing around 5 to 6 feet with occasional peaks up to 7 feet. Tonight, those winds shift southeast at 10 to 15 miles per hour, with seas calming a bit to 3 to 5 feet.

As we move into the workweek, expect a mix of southeast winds at 5 to 15 miles per hour with seas cruising around 3 to 4 feet, occasionally peaking at 5 feet. A slight chance of showers might surprise us at times, so stay on the lookout!

And for those of you venturing further out, from Sebastian Inlet to Jupiter Inlet you're looking at some choppy seas - 5 to 7 feet today with wind speeds reaching 15 to 20 miles per hour out of the east. But fear not, things will improve as we sail into mid-week with calmer winds and seas.

Don't forget, a small craft advisory is in effect, so be extra cautious out there! And remember, safety first!
