Good morning, East Central Florida! It's time for your weekend boating and beach forecast straight from the National Weather Service in Melbourne. Let's dive right in!

If you're planning to head out on the waters today, be prepared for some windy conditions. Thanks to strong high pressure off the Carolinas, onshore winds will freshen up over the next couple of days. Boating conditions are expected to worsen as onshore winds increase, leading to building local seas. Keep an eye out for isolated showers, especially offshore.

For those closer to shore, a Small Craft Advisory is in effect from Flagler Beach to Volusia-Brevard County Line, with east winds picking up to around 20 knots in the afternoon, creating seas of 3 to 5 feet and occasional peaks up to 6 feet. By tonight, expect rough waters with seas building up to 7 feet.

As we move into Sunday, east winds will continue at 15 to 20 knots with seas ranging from 4 to 6 feet. Choppy waters are likely on the intracoastal areas. The good news is, early next week should see some improvement in marine conditions, with seas calming down a bit.

In the offshore zones from Sebastian Inlet to Jupiter Inlet, similar conditions are expected, with east winds near 20 knots today and building seas of 4 to 6 feet. A Small Craft Advisory is in effect through Sunday morning due to rough conditions.
