Hey there, surfers and beachgoers! Welcome to your surf forecast brought to you by the National Weather Service in Tiyan, Guam. Let's dive into what the waves have in store for you in the Mariana Islands.

Tonight from 6 PM to 6 AM Sunday, we're looking at a moderate risk of rip currents along the east-facing reefs. Surf heights will be around 2 to 4 feet on north-facing reefs, 4 to 6 feet on east-facing reefs, 1 to 3 feet on south-facing reefs, and 1 to 3 feet on west-facing reefs. The primary swell is coming from the east at 2 to 4 feet with a period of 8 seconds. The water temperature is a nice 82 to 84 degrees, and expect coastal winds from the east at 10 to 15 miles per hour.

For Sunday and Sunday night, the rip current risk remains moderate. Surf heights will increase slightly to 3 to 5 feet on north-facing reefs, 4 to 6 feet on east-facing reefs, 1 to 3 feet on south-facing reefs, and 2 to 4 feet on west-facing reefs. The primary swell continues from the east at 2 to 4 feet with an 8-second period. Additionally, a secondary swell from the north at 2 to 3 feet with a period of 10 seconds will join the mix. Keep an eye out for a maximum afternoon heat index around 99 degrees, with coastal winds still coming from the east at 10 to 15 miles per hour.

Looking ahead, expect the surf to build an additional 1 to 2 feet along north and east-facing reefs on Tuesday as a large northeast swell enters the region.

And don't forget your tide information for the next 36 hours at various locations in the Mariana Islands.

Remember, when it comes to rip currents: low risk means strong currents can still occur, moderate risk indicates stronger or more frequent rip currents, and high risk means large waves producing strong rip currents. Always stay safe and have a flotation device handy when you're in the water.
