Story Transcript:

It: Era una calda notte d'estate a Venezia quando Mario e Luigi stavano andando in gondola per consegnare una pizza ad un cliente.
En: It was a hot summer night in Venice when Mario and Luigi were riding a gondola to deliver a pizza to a customer.

It: La pizza doveva essere consegnata in un piccolo appartamento ai margini della città, molto lontano dal loro ristorante.
En: The pizza was to be delivered to a small flat on the edge of town, a long way from their restaurant.

It: Mentre avanzavano nei tortuosi canali, si persero.
En: As they made their way through the winding canals, they got lost.

It: Mario e Luigi si guardarono intorno disorientati, cercando di riconoscere i luoghi familiari che avevano visto durante il giorno.
En: Mario and Luigi looked around disoriented, trying to recognize the familiar places they had seen during the day.

It: Ma tutto sembrava diverso al chiarore delle luci notturne, e presto si resero conto che erano completamente persi.
En: But everything looked different in the glare of the night lights, and they soon realized that they were completely lost.

It: Sebbene il loro compito fosse finito, Mario e Luigi sapevano che dovevano ancora trovare il modo di tornare al loro ristorante.
En: Though their task was done, Mario and Luigi knew they still had to find their way back to their restaurant.

It: Ma invece di essere preoccupati, si sentivano in pace, sapendo che la gentilezza delle persone di Venezia li aveva aiutati a trovare la strada giusta.
En: But instead of being worried, they felt at peace, knowing that the kindness of the people of Venice had helped them find the right path.

It: Lentamente ma sicuramente, con l'aiuto di vecchietti, coppie che si baciano, gruppi di amici festanti, riuscirono a raggiungere la loro meta, segnando una notte che non dimenticheranno mai.
En: Slowly but surely, with the help of old men, kissing couples, groups of cheering friends, they managed to reach their destination, marking a night they will never forget.
