Good afternoon surfers and beachgoers, this is your Malibu Coast and Los Angeles County Beaches surf zone forecast brought to you by the National Weather Service. Get stoked because we've got a mix of west swell and south swell coming in, with surf heights ranging from 2 to 4 feet. Watch out for moderate rip currents this afternoon through Friday. The water temperatures are sitting between 55 to 62 degrees. And hey, there's no thunderstorms expected, so it's all about catching those waves.

Now, looking ahead to Saturday, the rip current risk is high and the surf height is expected to bump up to 4 to 6 feet. So, make sure you're prepared for some solid waves out there. Remember, safety first, especially with those life-threatening rip currents potentially lurking around.

Ventura County Beaches, you're up next with a high rip current risk and a slight chance of thunderstorms. Surf heights between 3 to 6 feet await you this afternoon through Friday. And on Saturday, get ready for even bigger waves at 5 to 8 feet. Keep an eye out for the mixed west swell rolling in.

And Santa Barbara County, you're in for some fun waves too. High rip current risk and a slight chance of thunderstorms for all you surfers hitting the west and south facing beaches. Surf heights will vary between 3 to 7 feet on Saturday, so be sure to pick your spot wisely.

Heading up north to San Luis Obispo County and Santa Barbara Central Coast Beaches, we've got a high surf advisory in effect until 9 AM Sunday. It's time to ride those waves with surf heights ranging from 7 to 10 feet on the northwest facing beaches. Don't forget, a slight chance of thunderstorms on the horizon.

So, grab your boards, wax up, and get ready for some epic surfing sessions ahead. Remember to stay safe, watch out for those rip currents, and enjoy the thrill of the waves.
