A history fact: During Reconstruction, former slave owners received reparations for slaves that were freed as the federal still saw Black people as property.

Let's not forget that Brown v BOE was for the States to provide equal treatment to both schools, but the racist didn't like that and closed schools down and created private schools in the 50s. If you know a private school, chances are it was created in the 1950s under racism, the other schools were forced to take Black people. Because they refused to do the right thing and provide equal rights to Black schools.
