Cathelean Steele shares little known facts about women in the Civil Rights Movement and their impact in shaping the movement. She was an educator for 25 years, and started Smart Minds, Inc. an afterschool program upon retirement. She is a Program Director for the National Office of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference and is founder of Justice for Girls, a sex trafficking preventative initiative. Ms. Steele is the author of Smarty Arty, a children’s book.
