Today, Cátia 'Beyond Lisbon' Lima celebrates the cooperative tradition in Portugal, hot on the heels of 'International Cooperative Day - observed on the first Saturday in July since 1923 - following her recent visit to the country's oldest wine-making coop.
Also joining us, no doubt with input on this and other matters, is Tony Bryant AKA 'The Portugeeza', who has been known to upset the social media apple cart with his outspoken, albeit fun observations as an expat in Portugal.
(An anagram of Tony Bryant is 'rant by Tony'!)
Cátia's mission is to show us that Portugal is more than Lisbon! AND now to help us the explore the trans-corporate, indie scene here. "Portugal is small in size but big in history!" she says.
"We have a rich culture and landscapes way beyond sun, sea and sand – this diversity has amazed me since I was a kid going on vacation with my parents."
"Perhaps Portugal is part of your travel plans or maybe you find yourself daydreaming of making the move to this corner of Europe. Either way there’s a world of information to explore, which includes Portuguese language and all the little big quirks that can be expected when visiting or living in the country. Shall we explore them together?" is her invitation.
