Five year NFL veteran turned filmmaker, Jon Alston, joins us to talk about his award-winning film, Augustus. Alston played college football at Stanford before being drafted by the St. Louis Rams in the third round of the 2006 NFL draft. After five seasons of playing for the Rams, Oakland Raiders, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Alston retired after four concussions in less than one year. Most recently, Jon was awarded the distinction of Best Director at multiple festivals in 2020.
