The Living Full Out show with Nancy Solari wants to show you the importance of reaching for more. Perhaps there was a time when you settled for mediocre instead of trying to go above and beyond. By recognizing that there is always room for improvement, you can continuously better yourself and discover your ability to make life even more incredible.

Listen in to our first caller, Emily, whose roommate’s boyfriend has been spending too much time at their apartment, but Emily is struggling as to how to approach them with the issue without causing tension. Nancy advises Emily to have a conversation and give suggestions to her roommate about setting boundaries and negotiating the times and areas in which her friend’s partner can stay at their place. Emily can also get to know her friend’s significant other and build comradery with him in order to feel more comfortable about him sharing their space.

Our second caller, Rylee, is a recent college graduate who is having difficulty finding a job and preventing himself from feeling incompetent compared to people who have already obtained careers in his field. Nancy instructs Rylee to avoid limiting himself from applying exclusively to studios that are hiring and to send his cover letter and resume to companies he would love to work for regardless of if they are offering positions. Rylee can contact an animator and ask them questions and advice about how they attained their profession so that he can take those same steps towards landing his dream job.

Our inspirational guest is Sean Swarner, who was diagnosed with cancer twice at the ages of thirteen and sixteen, was put in a medically-induced coma, and still managed to climb Mt. Everest later in life. Rather than allowing cancer to limit him, Sean felt excited for having survived and pushed himself each day to be better and get closer to achieving his goals. Instead of feeling as though he missed out on having a normal youth, Sean moved forward by focusing on the present and believing that he could make his dreams possible. By choosing to be positive and looking at the bright side of his diagnoses, Sean discovered a new understanding of just how precious and valuable life is.

Our last caller, Alisha, worries that her long-distance relationship will hold her back from having the full college experience. Nancy tells Alisha to take time away from her boyfriend in order to experience life and discover who she is. Alisha can realize that if her partner disregards her needs, or if they fail to come back to each other after having been apart, then it is best to accept that there are better matches out there for them.

Perhaps there was a time when you found yourself failing to reach for more. Figure out which areas in your life can be enhanced in order to grow beyond what you thought was your full potential. By continuing to strive for the best and choosing to ante up each day, you can live full out.
