Pastor Samu-el studied journalism/mass communications at St. Bonaventure University and is a career professional with experience in investment banking and healthcare. He is a lifelong learner, currently pursuing advanced degrees in theology and systems management.

Today he serves as the fourth pastor and first non-bishop to lead the fifty-plus-year-old Historic Sherman Memorial Church of God in Christ in Charlotte, North Carolina. He has traversed through the ebbs and flows of leading an established congregation through transition and the
