Kamalzi was born on December 5, 1994, in Kansas City Missouri. He is the youngest of six children and is the son of Pastor Lawrence Nevels Sr and Vivian Brown. Kamalzi got his start after being asked to perform Christian rap on youth Sundays at his home church, he then began to take his talent to other local churches in that area. Soon after, this led him to take his talent and message to other states being an encouraging light to others. Kamalzi has quite the accolades such as receiving the Rising Star Award in his hometown, being a finalist on Hot 103 Jamz showcase, being nominated for Best Male Gospel Hip-Hop Artist of 2020, and being Top 20 Rising Artists of the Year on The Source. The rising star has gained the eyes and ears of listeners and fans around the globe and has been featured on CFN radio show, Hype Magazine, Yahoo Finance, and more. Currently, Kamalzi has two albums "4 Jehovah (2018)" which has been
featured in the Hollywood movie "Brothers Keepers" featuring Laurance Fishbourne, and "Grind Season (2021)" streaming on all social media platforms. Kamalzi now lives in Macon, GA, and is still striving to be an encouraging light to others.
