There were far more than 8 mentionable moments in the Arkansas gubernatorial debate between Democrat Mike Ross and Republican Asa Hutchinson.

1. Both candidates want a more educated workforce. Each candidate hit on the need to make sure companies will have the talent pool they need if they come to Arkansas. While they have some differences in terms of how to create that workforce, both stressed the importance of creating an attractive group of candidates to lure and keep business.

2. Each candidate feels the other's tax plan isn't financially feasible. Hutchinson has a plan to give $100 million worth of immediate tax relief to 45-percent of Arkansans. Ross doesn't think the money is there. Ross wants to give $565 million worth of tax cuts over time. Hutchinson says that won't be possible.

3. Nancy Pelosi. One of the debate's more tense exchanges centered around Mike Ross voting for Nancy Pelosi as House speaker.

4. Ross Wants an Apology. On the subject of negative campaign ads, Ross said Hutchinson needed to apologize to his wife. Ross said his wife ran the pharmacy targeted in a recent RGA ad. Hutchinson made it clear he has never attacked Ross on the issue of the pharmacy's sale price. It doesn't appear an apology is coming...

5. Hutchinson Isn't Ready to Give a Yes or No on the Private Option. Hutchinson noted the private option has some positives like expanding healthcare coverage to poor Arkansans and financially helping hospitals. He said it's too early to determine the costs to the state. Hutchinson says a decision on the private option needs to come in the future.

6. Would the Real Asa Hutchinson Please Stand Up? Ross painted a picture of two different Asa Hutchinsons. Ross pinpointed issues where he feels Hutchinson has changed his tune and said it's unclear which Asa Hutchinson we'd get as governor.

7. Ross Talks Women. Ross, who won the coin toss before the debate allowing him to have the last word in the broadcast, used his last few seconds to bring up equal pay for women and combating domestic violence.
