Round eight was again a four-game round, but unlike the previous week, it featured a couple of close and entertaining contests, none more so than the Waratahs' golden-point 43-40 win over the Crusaders in Sydney. As well as that, the Hurricanes maintained their perfect record for 2024 with a 36-23 win against the Chiefs in Wellington.
