Jueces 14: La voluntad de Dios permisiva.
Jueces 14:1-4:
Entonces Sansón descendió a Timnat, y vio en Timnat a una mujer de las hijas de los filisteos. Cuando regresó, se lo contó a su padre y a su madre, diciendo: —He visto en Timnat a una mujer de las hijas de los filisteos. Ahora pues, tómenla para mí por mujer.
Pero su padre y su madre le dijeron: —¿No hay una mujer entre las hijas de tus parientes ni en todo nuestro pueblo, para que vayas tú a tomar mujer de los filisteos incircuncisos?
Pero Sansón dijo a su padre: —Tómala para mí, porque ella me gusta.
Su padre y su madre no sabían que esto provenía del SEÑOR, quien buscaba un motivo contra los filisteos. En aquel tiempo los filisteos dominaban sobre Israel.

En este capítulo vemos a un Sansón que ya había crecido, y estaba en la época del enamoramiento. Ya era un joven que estaba buscando esposa y esperaba encontrar una pero de forma que no era correcta. Él deseaba tener una mujer filistea, del pueblo que era enemigo de los israelitas y que los tenía subyugados.
Dios permitió que Sansón pidiera en matrimonio a una mujer filistea, no porque fuera correcto sino que quería aprovechar la imprudencia de Sansón para castigarlos por sus injusticias.
El papá de Sansón trató de persuadirlo porque sabía que esto traería un gran problema a la vida de Sansón. En la despedida de soltero, lo que comenzó como un juego terminó en tragedia.
Es por eso que este consejo para los jóvenes es muy importante. Cuando se vayan a unir a una persona, primero deben ver que tenga las mismas convicciones y principios que tú. También deben ver con qué clase de personas se asocian, pues estas mismas personas nos pueden engañar y la desilusión será muy grande.
Otra cosa que podemos ver aquí es que Dios usa las debilidades para cumplir su propósito. Dios hubiera podido usar otros medios para provocar a los filisteos pero, ya que Sansón había caído en esta debilidad y su soberbia lo impulsó a quebrantar la ley, Dios siguió usando a Sansón a pesar de su pecado, pues Dios ya había advertido al pueblo de Israel de no mezclarse con pueblos paganos.
El Señor es paciente y compasivo con cada uno de nosotros, amándonos y ayudándonos a cambiar muchas cosas en nuestras vidas. Aunque no somos perfectos, el Señor nos seguirá usando para que sus propósitos divinos se cumplan en la tierra y, a la misma vez, nos permitirá sufrir las consecuencias por nuestros actos. En la teología se le llama "la voluntad de Dios permisiva".
Es por eso que Dios permitió que Sansón experimentara la decepción de haber confiado en personas sin temor de Dios, sentir la traición de su suegro dando su hija a otro hombre y el dolor por haber desobedecido a su padre.
Si pasas por una experiencia similar, no continúes en ese camino. Aprende del dolor y de los errores y no los vuelvas a cometer. En vez de culpar a otros, llenándote de amargura en contra de la gente, más bien reconoce que esa acción fue una decisión equivocada e imprudente, sea que hayas tomado la decisión por ignorancia o por un impulso de altivez o conciencia. Dios te ama tanto que te permite pasar por la consecuencia, sufrir la pérdida, y te da una nueva oportunidad de enmendar el error, alejándote de ese mal camino, cortando con malas amistades que te rodean, arrepintiéndote por todo el daño que te hiciste y que le hiciste a los que te aman, y volviendo una vez más al camino de la vida, la verdad y al plan de Dios contigo.
Como dijo el apóstol Pablo a los Corintios acerca de este tema en 1 Corintios 3:14-16: “Si permanece la obra que alguien ha edificado sobre el fundamento, él recibirá recompensa. Si la obra de alguien es quemada, él sufrirá pérdida; aunque él mismo será salvo, pero apenas, como por fuego. ¿No saben que son templo de Dios, y que el Espíritu de Dios mora en ustedes?”

Now Samson went down to Timnah, and saw a woman in Timnah of the daughters of the Philistines. So he went up and told his father and mother, saying, “I have seen a woman in Timnah of the daughters of the Philistines; now therefore, get her for me as a wife.”
Then his father and mother said to him, “Is there no woman among the daughters of your brethren, or among all my people, that you must go and get a wife from the uncircumcised Philistines?”
And Samson said to his father, “Get her for me, for she pleases me well.”
But his father and mother did not know that it was of the Lord—that He was seeking an occasion to move against the Philistines. For at that time the Philistines had dominion over Israel.

In this chapter we see a Samson who had already grown up, and was at the time of falling in love. He was already a young man who was looking for a wife and hoped to find one but in a way that was not correct. He wished to have a Philistine woman, from the people who were enemies of the Israelites and who had subjugated them.
God allowed Samson to propose to a Philistine woman, not because it was right but because He wanted to take advantage of Samson's imprudence to punish them for their injustices.
Samson's dad tried to persuade him because he knew that this would bring a big problem to Samson's life. At the bachelor party, what began as a game ended in tragedy.
That is why this advice for young people is very important. When you are going to join a person, you must first see that he or she has the same convictions and principles as you. Also you have to see what kind of people you associate with, because these same people can deceive us and the disappointment will be great.
Another thing we can see here is that God uses weaknesses to accomplish His purpose. God could have used other means to provoke the Philistines but, since Samson had fallen into this weakness and his pride prompted him to break the law, God continued to use Samson despite his sin, since God had already warned the people of Israel not to mix with pagan peoples.
The Lord is patient and compassionate with each one of us, loving us and helping us to change many things in our lives. Although we are not perfect, the Lord will continue to use us so that His divine purposes are fulfilled on Earth and, at the same time, He will allow us to suffer the consequences for our actions. In theology it is called "the permissive will of God."
That is why God allowed Samson to experience the disappointment of having trusted people without fear of God, to feel the betrayal of his father-in-law giving his daughter to another man, and the pain of having disobeyed his father.
If you go through a similar experience, don't continue down that path. Learn from the pain and the mistakes and don't make them again. Instead of blaming others, filling yourself with bitterness against people, rather recognize that this action was a wrong and unwise decision, whether you made the decision out of ignorance or because of an impulse of haughtiness or conscience. God loves you so much that He allows you to go through the consequence, to suffer the loss, and He gives you a new opportunity to make amends for the mistake, moving away from that bad path, cutting off bad friends around you, repenting for all the damage you did to yourself and what you did to those who love you, and returning once again to the path of life, the truth and God's plan with you.
As the apostle Paul said to the Corinthians on this subject in 1 Corinthians 3:14-16: “If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire. Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?”
