God thins Gideon's ranks to ensure he receives the glory for the battle victory against Madiam, reducing the Israelite Army from over thirty-thousand to three hundred. Gideon hears one enemy speaking to another about a dream he had wherein Gideon rolled into camp, turned a tent upside down and defeated Madiam. This encouraged Gideon and he rallied his men and they defeated an army as large as the sand by the sea.
