Ahoy, surfers and beachgoers! This is your Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia surf forecast brought to you by the National Weather Service in Jacksonville. I'm here to give you the inside scoop on the waves and conditions for the next few days.

Right off the bat, we've got a HIGH SURF ADVISORY in effect until 5 AM EDT Tuesday, so hold onto your boards tight! The rip current risk is also HIGH through Tuesday evening. Today, expect surf heights of 6 to 8 feet with an easterly wind around 20 miles per hour. The water temperature is in the mid-60s, and we're looking at mostly sunny skies with a high in the lower 70s. Keep an eye out for those tides, especially if you're planning to hit Vilano Beach or Fernandina Beach.

Tomorrow, the surf will be slightly smaller at 5 to 6 feet with southeast winds around 15 miles per hour. The mid-70s are in store for the high temperature, so it's shaping up to be another great day to catch some waves.

Looking ahead, Wednesday will bring 5 to 7 feet surf heights with a chance of rain and highs in the mid-70s. Thursday and Friday will see decreasing surf heights, with a mix of sun and possible thunderstorms. So, keep an eye on the forecast as the week progresses.

Over in Georgia, we've got a HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK in effect through Tuesday evening. Expect surf heights of 5 to 6 feet today with a northeast wind of 15 to 20 miles per hour. The water temperature is a bit cooler in the lower 60s, with a chance of showers under mostly cloudy skies and highs in the upper 60s.

Tomorrow, the surf will be 4 to 5 feet with southeast winds at 10 to 15 miles per hour. The mid-70s are on the horizon for the high temperature, along with a mix of sun and clouds.

As we look into the extended forecast, Wednesday will bring 4 to 6 feet surf heights with a chance of rain and thunderstorms. Thursday and Friday will see decreasing surf heights with sunny skies and a slight chance of showers.
