First off, Devlin delivers a sermon on a Radio New Zealand article claiming the Maadi Cup (regatta) - the long-running high school rowing event - to be sexist. Author Dana Johannsen makes a case saying the Maadi Cup - a trophy awarded to the best male eight crew - is only one of 40 titles that are contested. Devlin argues, in the great scheme of things, does it matter? Does the term Maadi Cup really create division and inequity in the sport?
