This week the trio reunites, to discuss all things from narcissistic/jealous mothers, to dating and relationship as adults, buying of Christmas gifts for someone you’re not in a relationship with, and much more.
We take a deep dive into how narcissistic or mothers who are jealous of their daughters can lead young girls to think abuse is love. Thus, starting a cycle of toxic relationships where abuse is present. Often times some mothers project their insecurities onto their daughters, causing them to treat them harshly, and later apologizing like nothing happened. This cycle of abuse later leads young women to confusion in their romantic relationships.
We then explore dating as adults and when does dating turn into a relationship. While the decision to move dating into a relationship should mutual one, we learn that often times that isn’t the case. Someone usually makes that decision for both parties involved, thus forcing the other party to agree, and to sometimes jump into something that they are not ready for. This leads us into the question of how do we know when we’re in love or when we love someone, whether that be romantically or platonically?
In our holiday segment, we explore buying gifts for a new boo, and how to know what to spend on someone you are newly dating. We also speak about fathers/mothers with multiple children by different men/women, purchasing gifts for their child that may leave the other children feeling insecure. As a parent, whose responsibility is it to ensure that this doesn’t happen? Can you tell the other parent to limit their gift to their child to a certain amount, or to only purchase certain things for their child? Let us know in the comments. We close out this segment with some ways you can cope with the holiday season if you are alone or grieving a loved one.
