Aloha surfers and beachgoers! It's time for your Hawaii surf zone forecast brought to you by the National Weather Service in Honolulu.

So, what's brewing out there in the Pacific? Well, for the North shore, we're looking at small surf through the weekend. But hold onto your boards because things are picking up Sunday night into Monday with a medium-period northwest swell, possibly reaching low-end advisory levels by Tuesday.

Over on the East side, expect some declining waves over the weekend with only very small surf in the coming days. And hey, don't forget about the South swell sticking around, so keep an eye out for some fun waves there too!

Let's dive deeper into some specific spots.

Starting off in Kauai, tonight you're looking at 2-4 footers on the North shore with a mix of showers and thunderstorms. Tomorrow? You can expect 3-5 feet in the morning building to 4-6 feet by the afternoon. And remember, a high of around 80 degrees for your Sunday session!

Jumping over to Oahu, similar conditions with 2-4 feet tonight on the North shore and a slight increase to 3-5 feet tomorrow. Make sure to keep an eye out for isolated thunderstorms and pack your rain gear just in case.

Heading to Maui, plan for 2-4 footers on most shores tonight and tomorrow, with some cloudy skies and numerous showers in the forecast. Keep an eye on those northeast winds picking up in the afternoon, shaping up the waves for you.

And last but not least, Big Island! Windward and Southeast Faced shores can expect 2-4 feet tonight with cloudy skies. Sunday brings similar conditions, so don't forget your sunscreen and maybe even a mini-umbrella for those quick showers.

Remember, surf heights can vary, rip currents are real, and swimmers should always be cautious. For more safety info on specific beaches, check out hawaiibeachsafety.com.
