Aloha surfers and beachgoers! It's time for your daily dose of wave wisdom straight from the National Weather Service in Hawaii. Let's dive into the surf zone forecast for the beautiful Hawaiian islands.

Now, we've got a west-northwest swell that reached its peak today and will be slowly backing off over the next couple of days. Surf along most north and west-facing shores will be just below advisory levels for the evening, but keep an eye out for those Big Island west-facing shores as they continue to ride some advisory level waves overnight. Plus, we've got more little pulses of northwest swell headed our way on Thursday and Saturday, keeping things interesting out there.

Over on the east shores, we're seeing some rough surf that has dropped down to around typical levels for this time of year, but don't get too comfy just yet. Those trade winds east of the islands are going to pick up late Wednesday and Thursday, boosting that rough east shore surf right back to March averages. And hey, there might be a sprinkle of south-southwest swell on Tuesday, but for the most part, it's looking like background level surf for those south shores.

For our friends in Kauai, expect surf heights to be ranging from 10 to 14 feet on the north-facing shores tonight while the west-facing shores catch a ride on 8 to 12 foot waves. South-facing shores will see a mellow 1 to 3 feet, and east-facing shores will be around 5 to 7 feet. It's gonna be mostly cloudy with scattered showers, so keep an eye out for those rainbows between sets.

Moving over to Oahu, the surf's looking good at 10 to 14 feet for north-facing shores tonight with west-facing shores cruising at 8 to 12 feet. South-facing shores will be around 1 to 3 feet, and east-facing shores are catching waves at 5 to 7 feet. The UV index is very high tomorrow, so don't forget that sunscreen while you catch some waves under the partly sunny skies.

Now, over on Maui, surf heights are ranging from 10 to 14 feet on north-facing shores, a chill 3 to 5 feet on west-facing shores, and 1 to 3 feet for both south and east-facing shores. It's gonna be partly cloudy tonight with a sprinkle of isolated showers, but expect mostly sunny skies tomorrow while you paddle out for some fun under the warm Hawaiian sun.

Alright, Big Island surfers, we've got you covered too! The windward and southeast shores will see 4 to 6 feet on north-facing shores tonight and into Tuesday, while east and south-facing shores will be catching waves around 5 to 7 feet. So get ready for some fun sets out there along with some scattered showers under the partly sunny skies.

And for our friends on the Big Island leeward side, we've got a high surf advisory for those lucky west-facing shores where you'll find waves ranging from 6 to 8 feet tonight and Tuesday. South-facing shores are looking at 1 to 3 feet of surf to play in. So, enjoy those partly sunny skies, scattered showers, and some fun waves while you're out there catching your share of stoke.

Remember, always be safe out there in the water, watch out for rip currents, and most importantly, have a blast riding the waves in paradise. Mahalo for tuning in, and until next time, hang loose!
