ur history. They have only suggested the COMPLETE story - including slavery. It's the conservatives who seem to be to greater snowflakes because they only want the positive aspects told.)

Wow. Mark Vrinet's Pearl-clutching over statue toppling and "shoehorning contemporary issues" into a Washington pic is embarrassing. He's supposed to be a historian? He sounded more like a Chuck Norris fanboy with a borderline homo-erotic crush on Big George. Slavery WAS an issue. Tge "Washington and Lee were just men of their time" argument is too cute by half. The abolitionist witness was loud, proud and ubiquitous in Washington's time as well as Lee's. They heard the truth. They read the truth. They chose "alternate facts" based on incorrect interpretation of Scripture and White supremacy. I do honor the great good in Washington. I still revere him, particularly for his humility and lack of hubris when leaving the Presidency. But just as knee-jerk progressives are wrong to write him off or cancel him (though to be honest, almost all the progressives I have heard have NEVER suggested omitting GW from
