Remember when JFK said “Ask not what your country can do for you, but rather what you can do for your country”? That mindset is lost on today’s America. We are self-centered and self-consumed society.
We’ve lost the concept of embarrassment. Things that were previously shunned are now celebrated.
And we’ve lost the concept of what true tolerance is. Even when we don’t agree, we should still be civil toward each other and respect each other’s differences. Now tolerance means that you MUST accept what I believe, and if you don’t then you are a dangerous hater. This is not true tolerance.
