So dead that hope of him turning around for good. He has seen you as a weaker person with no place to run to, therefore he'll continue until the worst happens. But if you die, two people are dead!!! You and your kid. If you really hate yourself, at least pity the kid inside of you. It does not deserve death. It needs to have it's first breath on earth not in heaven. Marriage isn't a do or die affair. It all about companionship. If your companion is toxic, *WALK AWAY*... Same way you avoid toxic friends, you can do same now. If you think you'll find it hard to move on, forget, you would always move on. Fast fast sef. If you're one of those that cares about what people say, you're doomed already.
