Neil Gorsuch wrote the majority opinion of a 5-4 Supreme Court decision upholding longstanding treaties by the United States Congress with the Creek Native American tribe in Oklahoma. Michael breaks down the verdict in McGirt v. Oklahoma, as Gorsuch joined the traditionally more liberal Justices (Bader-Ginsburg, Breyer, Kagan, Sotomayor) in finding on behalf of the Indian nation's sovereignty over the lands in question. The argument being, Congress has not abridged or updated the treaties originally signed - and therefore, should not be altered by the high court. Also, Ryan notes that Oklahoma entered the Union as a state in 1907 - during the Presidency of Theodore Roosevelt. This prompts a discussion on the best and worst Presidents of the 20th Century. Finally, Michael cites scientific evidence on the questionable efficacy of wearing cloth masks during the COVID-19 pandemic.
