With each of the five Big Ten softball teams eliminated, Kevin and Troy turn their focus to the NCAA Baseball Tournament to start this week’s episode. Of the four Big Ten teams to make the tournament, one advanced, as Minnesota got past the regional that they got to host. The Golden Gophers now face Oregon State in the Super Regional with the opportunity to clinch a spot in the College World Series.

After some baseball talk, the youngster and old man dive into basketball. The NBA Draft Combine ended and so did the window that made players choose whether or not they would be draft eligible or return to school for at least one more season. The duo talks a bit about certain players and whether smart – or not so smart – decisions were made.

And, what if March Madness adopted college baseball and college softball’s system of having 16 different pods of four teams with a double elimination factor built in to see who advanced to what would be the Super Regionals or Sweet 16? Troy threw the idea out there last week, and this week, the youngster and old man talk a bit more in-depth about it.
