Rosie drank alcohol up until about 5 years ago and she used to have this fear that if she quit alcohol she wouldn’t be able to celebrate, and she also used it as a comfort, like a glass of champagne would bring her comfort. She didn’t realize that having a glass of wine was associated with unwinding or relaxing and was very habitual, but when she finally quit drinking, she went through quite a healing process and now she realizes that she is able to reach peak physical health without alcohol, which she didn’t consider before quitting.

“Once you make the decision, it’s over, but it’s making the decision. It’s coming to the point where it’s kind of like anything. What’s the day it’s going to happen? And then are you committed after that point? And I think when you pick the day and you commit after that, the freedom that comes!” 11:10
