I remember someone calling me and telling me, last minute, that legendary shredder George Lynch was playing at a biker bar on Summer Avenue called House of Thor. I kind of thought they were joking since 1) I had never heard of the HOT and 2) this was random because GL doesn't have to play dive bars. Anyway, turns out he was rolling through Memphis with one of his many projects called Souls of We (London Legrand, Johnny Chow) and indeed was playing there. It was probably one the most memorable times of seeing him, other than with Dokken, as it was raw and real. There was a $10 cover which was a steal and the band was on fire.
