And that’s what Gary B. B. Coleman’s story was about. It went something like that. Cocaine Annie is the final studio album by Coleman. He issued Cocaine Annie on his own imprint called Boole Boo. The album was re-released in 1994 by Icehouse Records. The album includes two covers by Albert King, “Personal Manager” and “Answer to the Laundromat Blues”.

Coleman was born in Paris, Texas. He was working alongside Freddie King by the age of 15. He later supported Lightning’ Hopkins in concert and went on to form his own group. In 1985, he created his own independent record label, Mr. B’s Records, and issued a single, “ One Eyed Woman”, and his debut album, Nothing but the Blues, the following year. The album proved to be popular.

Coleman wrote material for others and sometimes played guitar and keyboards on their records.
