FTX donated a whopping sum of money to political causes during the 2022 midterm elections and they certainly spread that money around. With over 25 million dollars donated to Republican candidates and causes and over 40 million donated to Democrats and their causes, it's safe to say that FTX and SBF were looking to consolidate their efforts with the goal of FTX coming out on top no matter what. Unfortunately for them and fortunately for the rest of us, that plan has now exploded in their faces.
