Source: https://www.spreaker.com/user/17183748/free-ringtone-boom-bap-by-iservalan-afri kers and shakers welcome to the tail teller club and the second free ringtone that I've made today you can have it at the end of this broadcast now I was exploring different cultures and really the facility of the loops can we can we make decent stuff with these Loops can we you know the amount of It's Always a man that says to me electronic music is not real music and it's always a man that I get really really angry with because all music is music music okay and I it gets such a bad press I'm sort of on a voyage of um I suppose I'm trying to share with the world convince with the world convince the world to understand not to be afraid of contemporary software and Ai and Things That Go Bump in the Disco you know there's nothing to be scared of we can use these things and we can fuse with them the past and the future and the present and we can put put ourselves into them we don't have to rely totally on the machine it's why I love that I'm a chist and a Pianist and I suppose I'm a vocal um I I I hate to use the word singer because I can't sing we know we all know I can't sing but you know I'm a recording artist and I use my voice as a poet and a performer and a performance artist in just about every single piece of music that I do somewhere sometimes I sing something and then I take the midi information from it and I create something else with it but the initial thing was an acoustic recording having said that you can make perfectly good music using just Electronica and the human touch comes in many many different forms but as a composer the ability to have these software engines and this AI all these different AIS at our disposal is a gift it's a gift from the heavens it really is anyway that's enough waffling I suppose so what was let's let's get the logic pro up um look if you don't have logic pro a lot of these um techniques are cross over into all software so you know don't don't be put off by the logic pro label you wouldn't be able to do this in something like Garage Band it just doesn't have the facilities to take midi information and create something else you know put different plug-in instruments into it and things like that it it's much more rudimentary so if you want to use things like acoustic recordings you really should upgrade your facility I'm afraid so that you if you only if you really want to play around with it look if you're a perfect singer or a perfect performer it doesn't matter you don't need to play around with it you've already created something beautiful and wonderful okay but if you're you know a jobbing musician as I am you know I make music and I sell it every day of my life and it you know you haven't got time to you know perfect the craft the craft of singing as and in a way that would hold you back anyway there are very few people who are any good at that and they are held in great esteem so shcn de pre for example who as far as I know never put a note wrong um so anyway what was I doing I was I did the turkey the Turkish inspired loop ear which was completely and utterly using a digital music software and plugins this one's a little bit different because what I did with this one guys I recorded my voice and it's a boomp type vocal after I'd put in my basic Loop which is the African dance marimba and it is let me just move something out the way it is 0.4.1 that's the number of it so you can get this on your software if you've got logic pro um Ian I mean it's really quite standard African dance marimba um let me check what um see if I can let me apply TS to that so it's 7044 it's and it's C major it that's quite slow so I might do a faster one later on but it's still got lots and lots of passion now I used the crate Digger um the boom bap Mor plug-in drummer and there are a whole load of options presets and I I use the freestyle preset and I've got it on loud and simple and you'll hear why I wanted it loud in a minute cuz I bloody love that I really like a loud simple beat for some music and this was one of those you know opportunities to use that your St doesn't work for everything so I made my vocal and then I took the African dance marimba and I created I analyzed it with my on my software and from the analysis I created a midi um in a score a midi score if you like and then over the top of that I've actually got two things I've got a classic electric piano and then I doubled up
