Lamar has to string together a few games to get the same credit the Burrow's of the world gets after just one good game. And conversely, one bad game wipes out everything Lamar has done whereas Burrow and his ilk can stink it up multiple games and still get the benefit of the doubt. They can't lose with an equation that one sided.
