Meet the man who has been using Machine Learning to lift a nation out of poverty. Areiel Wolanow through his business Finserv Experts have, among other things, raised the GDP of African nations through applying Machine Learning to credit scoring. He's also applied similar methods to insure poor, tsunami hit, fisherman in Indonesia. Without his intervention great swathes of people would have been doomed to a life of penury.
