The guest host for today's show is Brad Bannon. Brad runs Bannon Communications Research, a polling, message development and media firm which helps labor unions, progressive issue groups and Democratic candidates win public affairs and political campaigns. His show, 'Deadline D.C. with Brad Bannon,' airs every Monday from 3-4pm ET.

Brad will first be joined by Michael Surrusco, Taxpayers for Common Sense’s Director of Development & Special Projects.
The two will discuss his a new report that his organization co-authored, along with E2 (Environmental Entrepreneurs).
The report is titled, "Paying the Price: Taxpayers Footing the Bill for Increasing Costs of Climate Change," and can be found here.

Taxpayers for Common Sense is a nonpartisan budget watchdog that has served as an independent voice for the American taxpayer since 1995.
They work to ensure that taxpayer dollars are spent responsibly and that government operates within its means.

During the second half of the show, Brad is joined by Edwith Theogene, senior director of racial equity and justice at American Progress.

The two analyze the Supreme Court's recent decision to strike down affirmative action as utilized by College's in their admissions process.

They also discuss the positive recent news that the racial wage gap has been shrinking under the Biden administration.

In her role at CAP, Theogene leads American Progress’ efforts to develop, communicate, and implement policy ideas that provide a new way forward for a range of equity challenges in an increasingly diverse America, with a particular focus on race and equity.
