In the last episode of the Community Organising For All podcast, Adela Belecova, English language (ESOL) teacher and community organiser at English for Action talks to migrant language learners, Adiam, Ania, Lian, Pawan and Maria Elisa about the barriers they face as migrants in London and the organising they are involved in, including struggles for better housing and more accessible English language provision. The ESOL students share how their involvement in organising actions and meetings has improved their language skills and confidence and enabled them to win change for themselves and their communities.
Iris Breward, community organiser at the Centre for Progressive Change also shares her reflections on how organisers can make training and activities more accessible to migrants with developing language skills.
