In 1996 WCW stumbled upon THE storyline! After years and years of being in the shadow of the WWF, WCW have warmed up in the mid nineties with the return of Hulk Hogan, but try as they might, they couldn't find the right storyline to put them fully on top. Then leading into Fall Brawl 1996, they found it! Yes, it is the explosion...of Fire and Ice!!! Scott Norton, Ice Train, in a Submission Match! Ok so maybe you don't remember that one, but there is this little thing called the NWO that might have led to WCW taking the lead in the Monday Night Wars....possibly! Sting has turned his back on WCW, and left the Horsemen and Luger in the lurch heading into WAR GAMES! Who will save WCW this time? It's one of the most fondly remembered War Games matches, but what about the event itself, well the Better Call Creative boys do a deep dive rewatch of the event, and reimagine what the show could have been! And in honour of the true stars of the pay per view, we round out the episode with a Fire and Ice inspired fantasy card! Two Stings? Somebody had better call creative!
