This week, Rick and Ben are joined by Chris Coplien of the Retro Hangover Podcast to talk all about one of the most important JRPGs of all time: Final Fantasy 6. The final mainline FF title for the SNES, FF6 pushed the boundaries of what a JRPG could be, and set a new tone for the series moving forward; whereas 1 through 5 were somewhat more lighthearted, 6 marks the beginnings of the FF series tackling heavier, more mature topics and themes. In this installment, we cover all of the development history, talk about thematic material, the phenomenal soundtrack, and much more.
