On this episode Archie is joined by Les Steed and Arthur Butcher who were both diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) as adults. Les and Arthur share their story about their journey which eventually led them to seeking a diagnosis in their late 20s. Les and Arthur's stories do resinate with a number of adults who have lived with the condition for many years dating back to childhood before undergoing an ADHD assessment.
Les and Arthur do also speak candidly about some of the social aspects of ADHD which do bring about some challenges and how they have tried to overcome them. We also discuss about some of the barriers which prevent male adults in particular from seeking an ADHD diagnosis or putting themselves forward for an assessment.
