From what I've read, the firearm is suppose to be on the strong side (dominate hand) and the taser on the weak side. So a 26 yr veteran grabs, for whatever reason, the firearm. And the response from some of the GOP to solve the problem? Everyone should pack heat. Yeah, of course that is a very logical leap. A 26 yr veteran apparently grabs the firearm instead of the taser and... a fantasizing wannabe "hero" without intensive training is going make things all hunky dory. No chance lead will be spewed and no chance of collateral damage. GOP has got some great answers.

One other major change is that if an officer is fired in one jurisdiction for discrimination, excessive force, etc they should be prevented from ever holding a job as a cop anywhere else -- by the use of a national database
