It doesn't seem like we can accuarately compare the numbers of death of the inlfuenza in this year to the numer of deaths from Covid. Of course there are multiple errors in the recorded data of cause of death in those who had Covid when they died versus those who actually died of Covid. If we are going to compare deaths/population we should use the data from when influenza was also a pandemic in the early 1900's and compare it to the death/population percentage of those whom actually died of Covid and not some other cause of death (yet tested positive for Covid).
