An interesting shift in the debate over electoral politics happened following the 2020 election: Americans began to wonder if the results they were seeing at the polls were reflective of the collective will of the people. Discussions about election integrity followed, and the focus quickly shifted to local elections as a potential source of at least some of the disconnect.
